Many people feel torn in their everyday life – they are under pressure to meet all requirements at the same time, overwhelmed by so many obligations and by their choices between the endless possibilities. Over time, this creates a feeling of completely losing control. Some feel like they are being controlled from outside – almost like a puppet.

But how do we manage to actively shape our lives again?

First, it is important to understand what we are experiencing in the moment – self-reflection helps us take a step back, observe ourselves and recognize what we are experiencing in the moment and what is troubling us. It can be helpful to take a close look at what we trigger in ourselves with our way of life and how we affect others.

Based on this, we can consider what our everyday life could look like and what changes we are striving for in our lives. A healthy self-confidence is very important here – so that we can better understand our needs and motivations – but our experiences and important insights that we have gained in our lives can also help us.

In order to initiate a change process, we need self-confidence – in our goals, in our path and in our ability to achieve them. Trusting ourselves does not mean that we suddenly stop doubting and can achieve anything, but that we feel confidence in ourselves that our path is important and that we can rely on ourselves when things get difficult.

Self-reflection is important to develop this trust in ourselves. It helps if we know ourselves well – with all our facets – our strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, talents as well as our psychological and physical characteristics.
